Alone inVientiane part I

Finally i have chance to visit Vientiane, i would like to visit Laos for longtime but i have no chance to make it. Laos was my plan for long coz i would like to know how they look like becuase most Thai said Laos is Thai's brother or someone said we are twin. I heard a lot about vietiane after waiting for longtime finally i have chance to visited.

Now a day we have many chance and many way to get across the Maekong river to Laos PDR which is another side of the river. We already have Internation Bus which allow peoples from both country can get to visit each other easier, The bus have 2 terminal From/To Udonthani - Vientiane and From/To Nongkhai - Vientiane and also it's reasonable price for the bus ticket, you can find more information regarding International bus at Transport website(it's in Thai sorry that i cannot find it in English)

My trip start from Bangkok which i took airasia first flight from Bangkok to Udonthani FD3360 BKK- UTH departure time on schedule 6.40 with 1444.50 baht fare. It took around 1 hour ride from Bangkok to Udonthani so i already in Udonthani at 7.40 with this trip it was my first time with FD with Boeing 737-400 screen Karabao on the body of the airplane

Shuttle service from Udonthani airport have 2 destinations that you can choose, go to Udonthani or Nongkhai. I decided to go to Udonthani bus terminal to take Internation bus there 50 baht from Udonthani airport to bus terminal it was not expensive at all.

International Bus that i took to Vientiane will departure at 9.30 AM and it was service by Laos bus. 80 baht from bus ticket and 5 baht for pay at the gate of friendshop bridge which they not include with the ticket.

Normally the bus must arrive with in 2 hours but i was in the unlucky bus which have accident from the kid who play songkran water splash it make the windshield broken and need to go to police station and that time i was on the bus 2 hours with go no where. Finally we arrived in Vientiane around 14.00, I took three wheel motorbike from Talad sao bus terminal to guest house which i was booked. 50 baht for the fare was not that cheap but i was ok for me coz i didn't know the direction.

After check in at guesthouse Mali Namphu, i have walk around the city to get to know the direction, Vientiane is not the big city but seem the weather is suddenly change, i will show the picture where i took it at taladsao in the afternoon

I followed my plan to walk to Victory gate or Patuxai

A large monument reminiscent of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the Patuxai is known by a variety of names, and boasts four archways. It was built in the 1960s with US-purchased cement that was supposed to have been used for the construction of a new airport; foreign residents sometimes refer to it as 'the vertical runway'.
